The decision merely highlights the FDA's failure to do their job properly. It is a stop-gap measure that, unfortunately, will be used as an excuse to do even less quality control because - after all - they'll just get irradiated at the end of the day. This is a disgrace and I would encourage all Americans, whether in an apartment or on a farm, to grow as much of your own food as possible.
